SUMMARY:Policy Matters: Poverty & Education
DESCRIPTION:Project NOW invites you to a free breakfast meeting/workshop Thursday\, November 16\, 2023 to continue our Policy Matters discussions with a focus on Poverty and Education. The event will take place at the MetroLINK Centre Station Banquet Room at 1200 River Dr\, Moline\, IL 61265. Please register for the event at https://PNPolicy3.givesmart.com. \n\nIn June\, Project NOW started a Policy Matters series to have an open discussion on the role of public policy on reducing poverty and expanding opportunity. We were asked to do a deeper dive into a few of the areas of concern to help officials better understand what is currently available and to connect those with greater knowledge of the topic to our elected leaders in the region. We hope to generate ideas on ways to reduce poverty and expand opportunities in the Quad City region. We would love your input and ideas to help in the effort.
