Assistant Director, Employer Relations

Job Description

The Assistant Director of Employer Relations is part of the Career Development team within CORE.  CORE, which stands for Career, Opportunities, Research, and Experience, is the place for all students to engage in career education, holistic advising, vocational exploration, internships, community service, study away, research, entrepreneurism, and professional development.  The Assistant Director of Employer Relations will cultivate new and existing partnerships with employers to increase engagement through On Campus Recruiting initiatives, develop local and regional internship opportunities, and to educate employers on the process for hiring all students, including international students. 

Education:  Bachelors’ degree in Business, Communications, or a related field

Skills & Experience: 
·         3-5 years of demonstrated experience working with hiring managers, college recruiting, employer development, career counseling/coaching or experience in a closely related role is highly preferred
·         Possess demonstrated skills as a dynamic, professional with exceptional organizational, time management and communication skills
·         Ability to take initiative, develop systems and processes to meet goals
·         Ability to develop positive rapport with a wide and varied constituency of business leaders, students, faculty, alumni and members of the campus community
·         Ability to oversee multiple tasks with attention to detail
·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision but as part of a broader team of career education and professional development professionals

Expected hours of work: This is a full-time, 12-month position with a 40-hour work week. Standard days and hours of work are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 pm during the academic year, as well as the summer months. Occasional long days will be required during events of other occasions.
