English Teaching Fellow

Job Description
The Department of English at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, invites applications for a half-time Teaching Fellow position to begin in August 2018. A Master’s degree in English is required, and a Ph.D. is preferred, but Teaching Fellows may be ABD graduate students or those who have just completed their degree and are looking to enhance their teaching experience.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience in early British literature. Position requires teaching an early British survey course as well as composition. Teaching Fellows will participate in the same support, mentoring, and training sessions provided for all new faculty at the university and will be eligible for professional development funding. This opportunity may lead to professional growth and potential letters of recommendation concerning teaching and collegiality. The Fellowship could potentially be renewed for a second year.
