Social Media Marketing Specialist

Job Description
The Communications and Marketing Office has a position open for a Social Media Marketing Specialist. The successful candidate will be asked to work with the C&M team to create and execute a long-term social marketing strategy for institutional channels with a primary focus on admissions. They will develop, create and schedule social media content; assist in planning and executing digital advertising strategies; enlist and/or develop measurement analytics and benchmarks to determine effectiveness; and continually improve SAU’s engagement on social media and other digital platforms. The successful candidate will have a capacity to direct and advise campus social media administrators and monitor an array of social media accounts representing official university programs and departments. They will be asked to create and monitor a long-term social media content strategy to be implemented by a team of administrators for Athletics Department programs. Must have familiarity with publishing to and use of various online enterprise platforms such as Facebook Business Manager, Hootsuite Enterprise, Google Adwords, and more.  Must have working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. Basic photographic skills a plus.  Requirements: A BA/BS degree or four years of related experience in a social marketing environment. Writing skills and a keen understanding of content that engages current and prospective students are a must.
