Major Gift Officer

St. Ambrose University
Job Description
The Office of University Advancement has a position opening for a Major Gift Officer. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of leadership donors and prospective donors, and volunteers at the major gifts level, to support the mission of St. Ambrose University. Individual will have demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift donors. Candidate will have geographic as well as college specific responsibilities, requiring regular travel. Will serve as a key member of the major gifts team and have shared responsibility for institutional events, volunteer management and systems management. Compensation includes a competitive salary, excellent educational benefits and a very competitive benefits package, including a retirement matching program. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required.  Prefer 3-5 years of successful development experience. Must be an outstanding communicator, ability to work successfully in a team environment, as well as an energetic self-starter. Position will remain open until filled.
