Exelon veterans group gives $10,000 to Honor Flight
CORDOVA — The Exelon Generation Quad Cities Station chapter of Exelon Militaries Actively Connected (EMAC) employee resource group invited some very special guests to this year's station holiday party on Dec. 1.
At the beginning of the year, EMAC decided to adopt Honor Flight of the Quad Cities as its community organization of choice to support. On Dec. 1, EMAC members presented Honor Flight representatives with a $10,000 donation, making Quad Cities Station a double platinum sponsor of the organization.
"We would like to thank the station for its support over the past year in helping EMAC reach our fundraising goal," said Jeff Bartz, EMAC vice president.
"EMAC's mission is to support veterans on site and in the community," he said. "We're off to a great start thanks to the generosity of everyone here at Quad Cities.
"Our goal is for QC EMAC to be the premiere employee resource group in the company, and we look forward to continuing to build upon our philanthropic efforts in the coming years."
EMAC is an on-site employee resource group for Quad Cities Station employees who are members of any branch of the military or a military veteran.
