The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board of directors and staff invite you to join us for the 2018 Annual Gala and Business Awards with Keynote Juana Bordas, President, Mestiza Leadership International.  We are honored to have Juana Bordas, an award-winning leader, best-selling author, speaker and diversity aficionada as our special guest.  Juana’s “Salsa, Soul and Spirit” will speak about how the U.S. is quickly becoming a mosaic nation.  As the fastest growing community, Latinos have a unique role to play in advancing our multicultural society. This theme, “Salsa, Soul and Spirit,” invites people to be part of our multicultural future and to celebrate the contributions of our diverse community.

About Business Awards
As a volunteer leadership-driven organization, Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recognizes the impact of community involvement.  The Hispanic Chamber is currently accepting Nominations for the Annual Gala Awards. The community is invited to nominate outstanding leaders in the following categories:

• Small Business of the Year
• Corporation of the Year
• Ambassador of the Year
• Community Leadership Award

About Juana
Juana was initiated into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame and selected a Wise Woman by the National Women’s Policy Institute. In 2009 she was named Colorado’s Unique Woman of the Year by the Denver Post and the Women’s Foundation. In 2017 she was honored as one of most Influential Hispanics in America by the National Diversity Council. She currently serves as the founding president of LIDERAMOS – the National Latino Leadership Alliance.
 
Her best-seller “Salsa, Soul and Spirit – Leadership for a Multicultural Age” won the 2008 International Latino Book Award for leadership and is utilized in over 100 Universities. “The Power of Latino Leadership” received the Nautilus Prize for best multicultural book and the 2014 International Latino Book Award for leadership.
