  Washington, D.C. – A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Central Mexico on Tuesday, September 19, killing at least 295 people. The quake came less than two weeks after a previous quake killed 90 people in the country's south and on the anniversary of a 1985 quake that did major damage to the capital.
