2019 Quad Cities Heart Walk

Get those sneakers ready, Quad Cities. We’re #Heartwalking!

On Saturday, May 18, 2019, the American Heart Association is hosting the 25th Annual Quad Cities Heart Walk.  The gates open at 8 a.m. with the Opening Ceremony at 9 a.m. and the walk at 9:30 a.m.. Walk a 1- or 3-mile route, and bring your family, friends and pets.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s mission – building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke – in action. Held annually, the walk celebrates those who have made lifestyle changes in an effort to improve their heart-health, and encourages others to take the pledge to live healthier lifestyles, while raising the funding needed for life-saving research and education.

Local companies and individuals can form Heart Walk teams at http://www.quadcitiesheartwalk.org. Donations can also be made through the website.

Heart Walk schedule:
8 a.m. - Gates open
9 a.m. - Opening Ceremony
9:30 a.m. - Walk begins
