CMW-HERC Annual Conference

The Central Midwest Higher Education Recruitment Consortium invites you to attend its 2019 Annual Conference to highlight “Building Partnerships for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.”
The event is designed to bring together employers from the higher education, business, public and non-profit employment sectors and connect them with resources in the region that will support attracting and hiring diverse candidates.

Join our us as we welcome our guest speakers from One Iowa, OutNebraska, Home Base Iowa, and the Iowa Department of the Blind. (We still have some pending speakers in the works!) Georgia Van Gundy, Executive Director of the Iowa Business Council (IBC) will be joining us for our panel discussion in the afternoon to share insights on the work of the IBC and Iowa's Competetive Dashboard. The Central Midwest HERC Advisory Board will convene after the conference.

9:30 AM - 3:30 PM - Main Conference
3:45 - 4:45 PM - CMW-HERC Advisory Board Meeting
Fee: Registration is free for all Central Midwest HERC members and interested organizations. Continental breakfast and networking lunch will be provided. (Please email director@centralmidwestherc for any dietary accomodation requests)

About the Central Midwest Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC):
Founded in September 2016, the Central Midwest HERC is the regional chapter of a national non-profit network of higher education and community employers dedicated to advancing the ability of member institutions to recruit and retain a diverse and talented workforce and to assist dual-career couples through sharing of best practices and campus/community partnerships. The Central Midwest HERC was originally founded by a collaboration between the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa and currently represents 24 employers in Iowa, eastern Nebraska, and western Illinois.
