Financial Aid Workshop

Join us Thursday November 13th for a financial aid workshop. The Financial workshop is a great opportunity for students and parents to get the FASFA or Alternative Application completed and out of the way. There will be an ISACorps member at the event to help navigate the students and their families through the process. Spanish interpreters will be available for assistance.

• What is FASFA/Alternative Application
  • FAFSA/Alternative Application are forms used to apply for financial aid, such a Federal Pell Grant and/or Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP)
• What Should I bring?
  • Students will need their Social Security Number or A- Registration Number to create the studentaid.gov account or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid. It's recommended that student also bring a Chromebook or their own personal laptop. 
• What is Studentaid.gov
  • Student will create an account to complete the FAFSA, and it is used for approval for the transfer of tax and income information from the IRS to the FASFA.

• Qué es Studentaid.gov?
  • Los estudiantes crearán una cuenta para completar el FAFSA, y se utiliza para la aprobación de la transferencia de información de impuestos e ingresos del IRS al FAFSA.
