Hispanic Chamber Mobile Blood Drive

This Greater Quad Cites Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center have teamed up in hosting a mobile blood drive event on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 from 3-6pm at our two locations:

Why is it important now more than ever to donate blood?
“We need approximately 3,500 donations each week and have been at an average of 3,000-3,200 per week. We’ve consistently experienced a loss of 10-15%. This is primarily due to loss of mobile blood drives. Much of Iowa and western / northwestern Illinois has been hit recently with snow storms that we estimate a loss of more than 250 donations from cancelled blood drives and missed appointments, each time a snow storm occurs."- Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center
