Dr. Masvidal is a professor in the Linguistics Department with the University of the Arts in Havana. In addition to teaching, he hosts a radio talk show and participates in four Cuban television programs.

His visit comes as a result of the trip BHC president Dr. Bettie Truitt and other Illinois community college leaders made to Cuba last February.
