Speaker Series featuring Michelle Dhansinghani

This event is now sold out.

Our aim for this series is to provide an opportunity for individuals and organizations to engage diverse residents and employees from multiple sectors in the Quad Cities region, broaden their networks, and enhance their awareness of diversity issues.

About Dhansinghani
Michelle is CEO of Elan Strategies, a Washington D.C. based boutique consulting firm with a global presence focused on business development for nonprofit organizations to diversify funding and build a pipeline into corporate America.

Prior to founding Elan Strategies, Michelle worked for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the largest Hispanic business organization in the United States, managing fundraising efforts with Fortune 500 companies. Michelle also worked for the Cesar Chavez Foundation as the Regional Director of Outreach, building national relationships with labor, farm worker, and non-violent organizations. During her time on Capitol Hill for United States Congressman Lloyd Doggett and Congressman Henry Cuellar, Michelle worked with constituents and external organizations drafting policy correspondence focused on international affairs. While in Austin, Texas Michelle worked at Gerson Lehrman Group focusing on investment decisions in the energy and industrial industries.

She is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin and sits on the board of directors of Hera Angels, an investment fund focused on empowering, educating, and funding women owned businesses. Michelle is also a member of the American Mexican Association, focused on amplifying economic and cultural contributions of Mexican Americans in the United States.

Michelle is a proud native of South Texas and enjoys giving back through the Kappa Delta Chi DC Alumnae Chapter where she served as the President of the organization.

The Power of Diversity in Leadership

Diversity in leadership - it’s not a nice to do but a need to do. Companies with diverse leadership are 35% more likely to have financial returns above their industry median and are outperforming company profitability. Governments with gender parity and minority representation are writing laws that are more inclusive and serve all communities. Business, government and civil society is finally understanding that diversity in the only way forward. Join us as we talk about the power of diversity in leadership and learn how to navigate spaces of power, overcome challenges and barriers, and thrive.
