An Open Letter to Membership: The Next Chapter

Dear Hispanic Chamber Members,

As I sit down to write this letter, I am filled with a mix of emotions. After much reflection and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as Executive Director of The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Through discussion with the Board of Directors in September, I decided my last day will be October 31st, 2024. I am stepping down to focus more on my growing family. It is hard to say goodbye to a community and membership that has meant so much to me.

Over the past six years, I have had the incredible privilege of working alongside many dedicated individuals who are passionate about opening new businesses, reviving established ones, and making an impact in the community through their organizations. We have been able to achieve remarkable milestones through collaborative efforts in marketing, networking events and educational programming. Under my leadership we successfully launched multiple new programs to expand our outreach efforts. Each accomplishment has been a testament to the strength and resilience of both the Chamber and our community as a whole.

As I step away from my position, I am confident The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will continue to thrive under new leadership. The Board of Directors is committed to finding someone who shares our vision and values, ensuring that we remain focused on serving our community effectively in 2025 and beyond.

I encourage you all to continue supporting The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in any way you can. Your involvement has been, and will continue to be, crucial as we move forward together. By volunteering your time, attending events, and spreading awareness about our mission, you continue to build on the strong community foundation already in place.

Thank you once again for allowing me to be part of this extraordinary journey. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your Executive Director. While this is not goodbye forever, as I plan to stay connected with many of you in different capacities, it is certainly a farewell to this chapter of my life.
