Program and Operations Manager

The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce seeks Full Time Program and Operations Manager to add to our growing staff. 
 
Located in Moline, IL, The Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is the only organization in the Quad Cities  created to address the specific needs of the Hispanic-Multicultural Business community.  The GQCHCC serves the Quad Cities and surrounding areas in Illinois and Iowa, including Sterling, Rock Falls, Iowa City, Muscatine, and West Liberty. GQCHCC mission is to support, promote and enhance the growth and success of businesses and organizations by leveraging assets, contributions and expertise of our unique Hispanic and multicultural identities. The GQCHCC welcomes businesses, organizations, and individuals from any cultural background to join, so that we can support, assist and recognize your efforts in our community. We are developing and networking leaders who are committed to ethical, responsible, and accountable actions on behalf of the U.S. Latino population and the broader community.  
 
Essential Functions

  • Have a strong understanding of local business and nonprofit activities to promote the alignment of programs and initiatives with the Hispanic Chamber
  • Support Hispanic Chamber communications, including newsletter, website, social and traditional media
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners
  • Maintain membership database  to include renewals, ongoing communication and  strong outreach to promote upcoming meetings, events, including follow‐up as needed 
  • Plan and manage logistics of assigned events and the organization’s meetings and events
  • Works with Executive Director to identify and secure funding sources to support Hispanic Chamber
  • Write proficiently, passionately, and effectively to tell the GQCHCC story
  • Develop and implement brand standards for the organization
  • Develop and coordinate annual programming/events
  • Grant writing experience preferred 
Experience and Skill Requirements
  • 3‐5 years of progressively responsible work experience, including one or more years of proven project management, event planning, and communications
  • Command of social and digital strategies and have savvy tech skills
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Bilingual preferred
  • This is an opportunity for a hybrid position 
  • Salary based on proficiency
  • Flexible working hours, which may include community events
The stipend will be based upon experience.
