Job Description

Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Adult Education, this position will be responsible to provide high quality, multi-level instruction for high school equivalency in math, science, social studies, reading, and writing and/or instruction in English language acquisition in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Part-Time

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Teaching/counseling experience in Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language or other related field. Being bilingual is NOT required for this position.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

Some functions of this position include:

• Facilitate Adult Learning

• Create a productive learning environment by building individual relationships and fostering collaboration among students in a supportive classroom environment

• Identify students who are struggling and work with them to overcome challenges

• Partner with the Adult Education and Literacy staff and administration to answer student questions and enroll students in the program
