Lead Teacher-Certified - Infant-3yrs - Children's Campus

St. Ambrose University Children's Campus has an opening for a Certified Lead Teacher in the 3 year old classroom. St. Ambrose University Children's Campus provides a comprehensive high quality early childhood education program, welcoming diverse populations and individual learning abilities. We look at the child as a whole, embracing and valuing their individuality and self-expression. In addition, we provide educational experiences for university students, emphasizing excellence in building relationships and connection with students, families and community, and best teaching practices. Candidates are responsible for daily classroom functions, communication with parents, collaboration with staff, curriculum and assessment, supporting university students in practicum, working with community agencies to address children's special needs and ongoing project approach integration in planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or in Elementary Education with an endorsement in early childhood education, with Iowa Teaching Licensure including Early Childhood Education or PK certification. Minimum of two years' experience as a lead teacher in an early childhood education center or program preferred. Evidence of experience and/or knowledge of the Project Approach for Learning, Teaching Strategies Gold, Conscious Discipline and differentiation within the classroom is desired.
