RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will oversee all of the School of Communication and Media-produced live-event sports broadcasting (streamed and linear), serve as the primary point of contact for all nationally-broadcast events associated with the School, prepare and manage the graphics for all home contests, provide maintenance, upkeep and recommend replacement of program equipment, specifically those items that are critical to the sports broadcasting operations, direct and oversee all elements of sports broadcasting video production for distribution across various channels, and will provide oversight of undergraduate students, graduate students, and interns including recruiting, training, scheduling and managing day-to-day responsibilities on event days. This position will also serve as the primary liaison to the WIU Athletics Director of Broadcast Services for the broadcast of home athletic contests for the Ohio Valley Conference and ESPN+ as well as all radio stations broadcasting any Leatherneck Athletics sporting events covered by the School of Communication and Media.

MONTHLY WAGE: $3,717 - $4,089 (Anticipated starting salary $3,717)

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, sports communications, sports marketing, sports management, public relations, communications, English, or a related field.
• One (1) year (12 months) of professional experience working in the athletic communications/sports information field.
• Experience producing an ESPN+ streamed broadcast from start to finish including working in a television production trailer as well as general engineering experience (assigning IP addresses, configuring network switches, routers, encoder, etc.)
• Experience in using various forms of technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and similar software used for reporting and distributing appropriate information.
• Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite; focusing on Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Experience in using Expression or similar graphics software.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). The degree must be conferred at the time of application.
